Persepolis Resources

This year the Murray State Reading Experience book is Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis.  This autobiographical work discusses Satrapi’s firsthand experience with the first Iranian revolution in 1979.  The University Libraries has worked to make sure that students have access to not only the novel, of which we have multiple copies, but also related Iranian films and novels including: Persepolis and Persepolis 2, the film adaptation of the book, many other graphic novels like Maus, and several Persian films such as The Cow, Amreeka, and Offside.

Similarly the library’s libguide for Persepolis offers up a detailed look into the history and culture of Iran, and background information on Graphic Novels.  It can be found here: http://libguides.murraystate.edu/content.php?pid=103174&sid=893422  The Murray State Reading Experience even has a facebook page where you can check out the latest events surrounding the book at : http://www.facebook.com/pages/MSU-Reading-Experience/145833292146282
