May 2013 Book Displays


Did you know that May is National Pet Month? “National Pet Month exists to promote the benefits of pet ownership, support pet adoption, promote responsible pet ownership, increase public awareness of services available from professionals who work with animals, and raise awareness of the role, value and contribution to society of service animals.” (source)

Waterfield Library has designated a book display to showcase resources about animals, as well as displaying pictures of library employee’s pets! Books include Companion Animals, Nutrient Requirements of Dogs and Cats, ASPCA Complete Cat Care Manual, The Pawprints of History: Dogs and the Course of Human Events, The Domestic Rabbit, and more!

Need some recommendations for summer reading? Be sure to check out our “Staff Picks” book display! Library employees have picked some of their favorite works for YOU to experience! The “picks” include: Sons of Anarchy, Harry Potter, Tuesdays with Morrie,  I Feel Bad About My Neck, Downton Abbey, Atonement, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Flowers for Algernon and MORE!
